Tortoise Boarding Prices
Our pricing is based on the number of tortoises and enclosures required:
From £8.00 per day for 1 tortoise in 1 private enclosure.
Discounts automatically applied for multiple tortoises booked at the same time.
Each enclosure is exclusively used for your tortoise—no shared accommodation. Please include drop-off and collection dates in your booking; for example, a Friday evening drop-off to Monday morning collection is counted as 4 days.
Drop-Off and Collection Information
Location: West Sussex – address provided upon booking confirmation.
Times:
Weekdays: 11am or 7pm
Saturdays: 2pm or 7pm
Unavailable: Drop-off/collections not available on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day.
Health Issues & Emergency Vet Care
Please inform us of any ongoing health issues at the time of booking. For specialist treatments such as nebulisation, please contact us in advance.
If your tortoise becomes unwell or requires veterinary attention during their stay, we will make every effort to contact you using the details provided. Where we believe urgent veterinary attention is required, we reserve the right to seek treatment without prior authorisation if we are unable to reach you.
A veterinary visit charge of £60 per visit will apply to cover our time and travel to and from the veterinary practice. All veterinary consultation, diagnostic and treatment costs are payable separately by the owner.
Any veterinary fees and associated charges must be settled before collection.
Late Collections & Rehoming Policy
If you're unable to drop off or collect your tortoise at the agreed time, let us know immediately. Additional charges will apply for late pickups.
If a tortoise is not collected within two days of the scheduled pickup date, we will charge a £50 rehoming fee and begin the rehoming process. Any sale proceeds will be retained by HappyTortoises.
